This is a reconstruction of the lost cult statue of Hercules from the Aedes Herculis Musarum in the Circus Flaminius, Rome. The statue is illustrated on a coin that is part of a series illustrating Hercules and the nine Muses issued in 56 BCE by Q. Pomponius Musa.
