Seattle – Flyover Zone, HTC Vive, and VictoryXR have launched a groundbreaking partnership to change the way virtual reality education is deployed in schools. Since late April 2021, schools have been able to order the Vive Focus Plus pre-loaded with thirty titles, including three Rome Reborn virtual tours by Flyover Zone. No other 6DOF VR headset is pre-loaded with a full suite of education products.
“We are delighted to partner with HTC Vive and VictoryXR to bring learning to life,” said Flyover Zone’s Founder and President Bernard Frischer. “As schools look for new ways to address learning loss after a year of Covid, this partnership brings learning to life. There’s strong evidence that students retain more when learning in virtual reality and the best part is that they love learning,” said Steve Grubbs, CEO of VictoryXR.
The Vive Focus Plus is an untethered virtual reality headset which uses the Qualcomm XR chip for mobile graphics processing. Even more, it delivers six degrees of freedom, which gives the user full mobility to move around the virtual space in the same way as if they were in the real world. Vive has been a leader in the enterprise and consumer VR space since 2016.
